Abet and I watched Toto’s concert in Araneta. It was a good show. Great music! Abet was awed at their musical instruments...especially the drums of course! Hubby knows how to spot a good musician—the bassist, drummer, guitarist…
The concert started late. It was disappointing at first because the first few songs they sang were I think from their new album. The audience was already shouting the titles of their famous hits. From the new songs, you will hear their signature sound—beat/sound, you love—the Toto way!
Yes, they sang their hits. But! In parts! They’ll sing the intro until the chorus (at this point the crowd’s already either singing with them or screaming their lungs out as they hear their favorite song)…then cut!...another hit song until the chorus…oh boy! Bitin!...there was even one brave soul who shouted “Luge!” —which means what their hearing is not worth their money. Oh well, good enough for me. Good thing they sang “Africa” (one of my favorites) completely!
p.s. Watching Toto Live! is unforgettable...After 12 years…it is the first concert Abet and I watched together! Grabe no!?...unless you could count the Disney on Ice shows or Barney’s shows as concerts...ha ha…can’t wait to see more concerts together—maybe even together with our 4k.
