Thumbs Up!
After much cajoling, my husband finally agreed to have one of our Friday night dinners at Mom and Tina’s. This restaurant is located along Libis, in front of SM Hypermart. We can actually go there anytime since it is on our way home, but the traffic along that road may get tight at times so Abet usually takes another route—the one with lesser traffic. We see people queuing up either to get dinner or to buy something from their yummy and good-looking line up of pastries, cookies, breads, and cupcakes.
The homey set-up of Mom and Tina’s puts you more relaxed and crave for real to delectable food. For starters, we had their soup of the day, Turkey Potato Soup. Abet loves cream soup—and yes, we loved this soup, its creaminess is just right. For main course, I got their Shepherd’s Pie. It has been a while since the last time I had this in another restaurant—I was happy I tried this out…yummy! Abet enjoyed his Rib-eye steak. I could hear satisfying remarks from him in between bites.
As if the main course were not enough to fill up our tummies, we had no second thoughts in ordering dessert. He had Toblerone Walnut Torte while I had Mango Walnut Torte—delicious!—you will not put your spoon down. It has the right sweetness. A real treat to finish a good meal.
Service is good. They have enough waiters to attend to each table. Mom and Tina’s Bakery Café is a real treat to savor. Thumbs up for their scrumptious food and good service…we are definitely coming back.
