Thumbs Up!

After much cajoling, my husband finally agreed to have one of our Friday night dinners at Mom and Tina’s. This restaurant is located along Libis, in front of SM Hypermart. We can actually go there anytime since it is on our way home, but the traffic along that road may get tight at times so Abet usually takes another route—the one with lesser traffic. We see people queuing up either to get dinner or to buy something from their yummy and good-looking line up of pastries, cookies, breads, and cupcakes.

The homey set-up of Mom and Tina’s puts you more relaxed and crave for real to delectable food. For starters, we had their soup of the day, Turkey Potato Soup. Abet loves cream soup—and yes, we loved this soup, its creaminess is just right. For main course, I got their Shepherd’s Pie. It has been a while since the last time I had this in another restaurant—I was happy I tried this out…yummy! Abet enjoyed his Rib-eye steak. I could hear satisfying remarks from him in between bites.

As if the main course were not enough to fill up our tummies, we had no second thoughts in ordering dessert. He had Toblerone Walnut Torte while I had Mango Walnut Tortedelicious!—you will not put your spoon down. It has the right sweetness. A real treat to finish a good meal.

Service is good. They have enough waiters to attend to each table. Mom and Tina’s Bakery Café is a real treat to savor. Thumbs up for their scrumptious food and good service…we are definitely coming back.

Happy Birthday to us!

Me and my mini-me daughter had a joint celebration last Sunday, 8 July. We had a grand lunch at Gerry's Silver City in Ortigas. Good thing I reserved a day before as the place was lined up with waiting customers. Of course our menu won't be complete without my kids' favorite! Kare-Kare! Ooooh Yummy!

Since both of us celebrate our birthdays in July, we just thought of celebrating together (eventhough 12 days apart) so it would be doubly fun!...or para tipid?! Of Diane's 9 years, she had cakes of different character each year. This year since she likes chocolate icing but with moccha cake, she chose Violet of The Incredibles. Of course from our favorite bakeshop in Shoppersville Katipunan.

After lunch, we headed to Fun Ranch beside Tiendesitas. My kids favorite place! (as I've written previously). My kids together with their cousins had an hour of fun at Active Fun. After that tiring hour of fun and play, looks like the kids haven't had enough...they rode the train, run around fun ranch, ate french fries, ...and of course, went straight to the Vente stall and bought some goodies.

Happy Birthday to us Diane (4 July and me, 16 July)...I continue to pray and wish for your good health and happiness always. Please remember what I told you...you got what you wished for your birthday (her very own Game Boy Advance SP) because you've been good not only in school but also as a daughter, sister,grand-daughter, niece, and friend. Hope you continue to be a good role model to your siblings. And I know you will share your GBA with them. We love you very much Diane!

For me, another year older and I do hope another year wiser, kinder, prettier, and wealthier (ha ha!) Just want to enjoy my time...savor each passing moment, living life to its fullest meaning, do the things I want to do, and be with the most important people in my life...my family. Happy Birthday to me!
